2019 Julie Valentine Community Summit on Sexual Assault
The 2019 summit will focus on ending the backlog of untested rape kits. Participants will develop an understanding of the scope of the problem, the impact the problem has on victims and our community, and federal, state, and local policy initiatives underway to process this evidence, hold perpetrators accountable, and bring justice to victims. This summit will also address the testing and processing of rape kits and how to ensure that matters related to victims of sexual assault are victim-centered, effective and responsive to the needs of diverse victims.

- Learn how to appropriately collect, test, and process sexual assault kits and gain knowledge on the sexual assault kit backlog
