Content: Race, Equity, and Maternal Health

  • To review the domains of racism as defined by Dr. Camara Jones.
  • To review the history of maternal health for Black birthing people and how it relates to the three domains of racism
  • To define the terminology for reporting maternal mortality 
  • To review the top causes of maternal mortality in the United States and the racial inequities within them.
  • To discuss current and future efforts to reduce maternal and infant health inequities and how you can help.
