Objective:

  • Be able to identify SIDs and know the statistics surrounding SIDS.
  • Know the information that we as health care staff teach/provide families before leaving the hospital.
  • Understand what a Safe Sleep Consult is. Understand infant temperature and clothing needed.
  • Understand infant positioning in regards to medical conditions such as reflux and plagiocephaly.
  • Be able to identify different time periods of sleep transitions and learn how to educate families.
