Series Objectives:
Desired results are an increase in awareness of patient safety, evidence-based performance improvement, and how the system of care delivery can fail unexpectedly. The content is driven by patient care issues discovered by peer review, quality improvement and risk management through the medical electronic record system and other patient safety product/initiatives including physician reporting. 

Series Target Audience:
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Pharmacists and Administrative Staff.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn 1.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for this activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
