  1.  Review and update the general management of sickle cell disease for the general pediatrician. 
  2. Discuss the current comprehensive approach to screening and treatment of complications of sickle cell disease. 
  3. Discuss new and upcoming therapies in sickle cell disease and future goals for quality of life for people with sickle cell disease.
