Topic: Aortic Coarctation

Objectives:

  1. Recognize clinical presentation of aortic coarctation across age groups
  2. Identify key physical exam findings of aortic coarctation
  3. Discuss common reasons for delayed or missed diagnosis of coarctation in neonates and infants
  4. Describe the initial stabilization and management of infants with critical coarctation and review indications for immediate cardiology consult and urgent transfer to a tertiary cardiac center
