- The learner will understand the definitions of neglect and how it forms the largest part of child abuse
- The learner will understand the common signs of physical abuse, how to report and the challenges associated with this process.
- The learner will recognize the signs and symptoms of sexual abuse and appropriate plan of management
- The learner will recognize the increase risk of abuse in children with both physical and intellectual disabilities.
- The learner will understand how to recognize medical child abuse and some approaches to evaluation.
- The learner will understand how to identify psychological abuse and plan of management.
