Topic: Terminus Failure to Thrive: Hepatorenal Syndrome Grand Rounds

Objectives: 

  • Learners will generate an appropriate differential diagnosis and evaluation plan for the chief complaint of "unintentional weight loss" or "failure to thrive".
  • Learners will recognize common signs, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria for Hepato-Renal Syndrome.
  • Learners will summarize guideline-based treatment recommendations of Hepato-Renal Syndrome.
  • Learners will demonstrate understanding of the pharmacological mechanisms underlying guideline-based pharmacological treatment of Hepato-Renal Syndrome.
  • Learners will demonstrate understanding of the appropriate utilization of palliative care consultation.
