Topic: Advancing Women's Health:  Integrating Sex and Gender Evidence into OB-GYN

Speaker: Dr. Alyson McGregor

Objectives: 

  • Describe the many ways sex and gender differences influence women's health and the pivotal role OB-GYN physicians play in addressing these differences to improve patient outcomes.                  
  • Recognizing persistent gaps in research and medical education that limit optimal care for women, including the impact of outdated curricula and the underrepresentation of sex as a biological variable (SABV).  
  • Apply the NIH-funded Sex Differences and Women's Health Curriculum Assessment and Revision Toolkit to identify and update curriculum content with current evidence.
