Series Objectives:
The Neonatal Mortality Case Review meetings occur every 2 months. All neonatal mortality patient cases will be reviewed. A case will be assigned to a participant who dives deeper into the case and reports back to the full group of participants. The group discusses next steps and identifies trends, where possible. Potential mitigations could fall in the area of process improvement, educational activities, communication/interdisciplinary collaboration.
The MOC requirement will be fulfilled via the “Case Discussion” evaluation method: The group leader (Dr. Tyson) will confirm the active participation of each learner during the case discussion. Only participants who engage actively will receive ABP MOC Part II credit.
