The Greenville County Fire Department Continuing Education Program (CEP) is an NREMT,
National Continued Competency Program (NCCP), and
South Carolina Bureau of EMS CEP Guideline compliant program certified through the SC Bureau of EMS that utilizes high fidelity manikins, experienced field instructors, and scenario based education to keep the Firefighter/ Emergency Medical Technician on the cutting edge of their profession. The 40 monthly classes are available to any Greenville County Firefighter that possesses a South Carolina State and National Registry of EMTs certification at no charge. The Greenville County Continuing Education Program is funded through Healthy Greenville 2036 Grant Initiative that was created in 2017 to provide standardized training for approximately 900 firefighter/first responders countywide. The Greenville County Continuing Education Program (CEP) indirectly provides life-saving first response care to the citizens of Greenville County by way of the students educated each day.
