Series Description:

We will have a specialty of the month that we will highlight within our many primary care meetings. We will share specialty specific clinical pearls, what work up is helpful for the PCP to do prior to referral, etc. Then we will have a virtual teams meeting at the end of the month with 2-4 specialists on a panel, a meeting moderator from primary care leadership, and invite all upstate FM and IM PCPs to attend for feedback and Q&A related to the specialty. We will share key information about the division’s initiatives and most pressing evidence-based medicine / practice changing information from that specialty (ie. change in criteria for lung cancer screening, lowered age and new modalities accepted for colon cancer screening – the big “practice changers” in a specialty that are important for PCPs to know).
