Topic: Viral Encephalitis

Objectives:

1.    Describe the epidemiology and transmission of clinically relevant neurotropic  arboviruses, including regional and seasonal patterns of disease.
2.    Identify the characteristic clinical features of arboviral meningoencephalitis.
3.    Identify and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests for arboviral encephalitis, including serologic and molecular studies.
