Topic: Abusive Head Trauma

Objectives:

  1. Brief overview of AHT in general, including the variability of presentation.
  2. Analyzing data of what we know about missed opportunities for diagnosing AHT.
  3. Identifying and recognizing the importance of sentinel injuries.
  4. Highlighting TEN-4-FACES P as a clinical decision-making rule.  
  5. Discuss how the workup of abuse is very often not based on symptoms, but on findings or risks.
