Topic: Motor Development

Objectives: 

  • Describe the neuroanatomy and neurophysiology underlying motor control.
  • Identify the biological and environmental factors that promote healthy motor development in early childhood.
  • Explain how disruption of motor pathways can result in motor delay and motor impairment in young children.
  • Develop a systematic approach to the evaluation of infants and young children with motor delays.
