Objectives:

  • Define aggression and irritability ​
  • Understand risk factors that lead to both​
  • Be able to devise a treatment plan that mitigates these risk factors ​
  • Understand how the DSM can assist in categorization and differentiation of patients ​
  • Understand how the DSM can limit adequate differentiation of patients ​
  • Familiarize yourself with medications that have utility for treating aggression/irritability
  • Understand medications have limitations of their own
