Content: Point of care ultrasound and the "FAST exam - It's not just for trauma"

Objective(s): 

1. Identify which patients may benefit from a FAST POCUS exam in the Emergency Department. 2. Understand the limitations of POCUS exams and understand when comprehensive follow up imaging is necessary for a pathological condition with associated intra-abdominal fluid. 3. Understand which images and measurements are key to acquire during a FAST POCUS exam.  4. Appreciate the advantages of POCUS and how it can dramatically impact care particularly in the community ED setting for both identification of traumatic, and non-traumatic, conditions with associated intra-abdominal fluid.
