Content: Point of care ultrasound musculoskeletal application - the basic shoulder exam

Objective(s): 

1. Identify which patients may benefit from a shoulder POCUS exam in the Emergency Department. 2. Understand the limitations and advantages of a POCUS shoulder exam compared to other advanced imaging modalities. 3. Understand which images and measurements are key to acquire during a POCUS shoulder exam.  4. Identify basic anatomy of the tendons that comprise the rotator cuff as well as identify abnormalities, such as a tear.
