Learning Objectives: 

1. Describe the epidemiology and current trends of major mosquito-borne, tick-borne, and other insect-transmitted diseases in South Carolina, including recent changes in incidence and emerging threats.

2. Identify the clinical features, diagnostic approaches, and management strategies for common vector-borne infections relevant to the religion, such as West Nile virus, Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and others.

3. Discuss prevention, surveillance, and public health interventions aimed at reducing the burden of vector-borne diseases, with an emphasis on strategies applicable to clinical practice and community health in South Carolina.
