Series Objectives:

Monthly morbidity and mortality conference for the hospitalist division.Each meeting, a hospitalist patient case is presented by a Hospitalist M&M committee member, in an effort to highlight a disease entity and/or opportunity for improvement in care and education for the hospitalist division at large. Desired results are an increase in awareness of patient safety, evidence-based performance improvement, and how the system of care delivery can fail unexpectedly. The content is driven by patient care issues discovered by peer review, quality improvement and risk management through the medical electronic record system and other patient safety product/initiatives including physician reporting. 

Series Target Audience:
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Pharmacists and Administrative Staff.
