Series Objectives:
Plan to have the attending on service attend Journal clubs for critical analysis of the data, other ongoing Trials, future directions, etc.
- Rotate articles/ topic selection among the members of our group- something you happen to be interested in at the time
- Only meet once a month
- 30-minute format
- Sign up among interdisciplinary members of the neurocritical care team
- The person whose month it is selects the topic and article and is the point person to get the discussion started - designated proctor for opening the meeting and topic introduction monthly
- Standard format for presentation
- Keep topics related to CC management, or neurocritical care management - selecting one article or topic (like a guideline that has been updated) to review a month (e.g., sepsis management, SAH coil vs clipping, ABCDF ICU liberation bundle, post op management of GBM, TNK administration guidelines ...
- Intention of the journal club is educational for: Residents, PA’s, NP’s, APP students, Med students, Practicing physicians, visiting fellows, clinical pharmacists
