Objectives(s): Understand the concept of point of care ultrasound and its application in the care of the critically ill adult. Compare different types of ultrasound probes and their uses pertaining to specific exams. Identify the views obtained with a cardiac ultrasound exam and recognize the specific anatomic structures in each view Identify specific structures when using the vascular probe for central venous catheter insertion in both the internal jugular and femoral sites.
