Objectives:

lThe diagnosis of a concussion can be made in the acute setting, like the sideline or the ED, if you follow an algorithm. The biomarkers currently available that look for GFAP can be used to identify patients who need a CT of the brain. Setting expectations has been proven to lead to better outcomes including quicker recoveries in concussed patients..
