Topic: Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology Topic

Objectives: 

  1. Examine racial/ethnic, regional, and insurance-status influences on operating room (OR) placement of IUDs among adolescents and young adults.
  2. Assess disparities in the receipt of pain-control medications (anesthetics, sedatives, and analgesics/anti-pyretics) during IUD insertions across race/ethnicity, region, and socioeconomic status.
  3. Explore the implications of these findings for equitable care, identifying systematic inequities in pain management to inform targeted interventions that ensure equitable access to comfortable IUD procedures.
