Each month a Pathologist (MD) will present on a anatomic pathology case or new adjustments in the staging criteria to better facilitate this information for the grossing and handling of anatomic pathology surgical specimens initially. Protocols from the AJCC and CAP are consistently being updated as new studies are done of staging parameters.

Series Objectives:

  • Disseminating new updates to grossing and lab personnel so these new update are accounted for on a day to day basis.
  • Overall better patient care at initial time of grossing as opposed to regrossing a specimen and delaying patient results.
