2019 Annual William R. DeLoache Seminar
Overview
The DeLoache Seminar is a GHS Pediatrics Department long standing annual activity that seeks to present new concepts and topics to physicians from the world of pediatric medicine through invited guest speakers, while also highlighting recent accomplishments and recognizing their pediatrician of the year.
The topic of this year's seminar is "Autonomic Disorders: A Guide for the Clinician" and will be presented by guest speaker Blair P. Grubb, MD, a nationally recognized expert in the care of patients with autonomic disorders, and leader of a national referral center where the most complicated patients are referred for management. Grubb will describe his approach to the diagnosis and management of these patients, focusing on the different types of autonomic disorders as well as the diagnostic process and treatment options, functioning within the team environment of this disorder that touches on multiple specialties.
Target Audience
Upstate primary care providers, children's hospital faculty and clinical staff, and pediatric house-staff.

Physicians
Physicians (MDs and DOs) will receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. All other attendees will receive attendance credit.
Nurses
The South Carolina Board of Registered Nursing recognizes that Continuing Medical Education (CME) is acceptable for meeting RN continuing education requirements as long as the course is certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Nurses will receive a Certificate of Participation following this activity that may be used for license renewal.
