2019 Fall Cancer Conference: Cervical Cancer Update

Overview
The Fall Cancer Conference is a regular event of the Cancer Treatment Center to improve awareness of different cancer related issues. This year’s activity is surrounding cervical cancer treatment and removing barriers to that treatment. This activity is designed not only for cancer care providers but also for those providers who may be the first identifier of cervical cancer or that will be a follow-up provider after treatment.
Target Audience
Physicians, nurses, and APP's.
Learning Objectives
- Describe current treatment guidelines and best practices for cervical cancer
- Identify barriers to treatment and the results of treatment delays
- Choose the most appropriate treatment plan based on cervical cancer staging and patient specific needs
- Differentiate between different types of treatment barriers and ways to assist patients with overcoming treatment barriers to avoid treatment delays
- Demonstrate how appropriate communication between providers assist patients with improved treatment outcomes
