Leadership in Our Own Backyard-AoE Community Partnership Faculty Development-Greer & North Greenville
Community Partnerships
We are very excited to have launched a new committee focused on all physician faculty based primarily at our community sites. We are working strategically to include all of our colleagues in the AoE opportunities Upstate-wide. Dr. Mallory Shasteen is chairing the AoE Community Liaison Committee and would love to have physicians join in this important initiative.
This interactive CME session will introduce participants to the Academy of Educators, highlighting its mission, resources, and opportunities for engagement. Attendees will learn how the Academy supports faculty in advancing excellence in medical education through mentorship, collaboration, and recognition of teaching excellence. The session will be divided into two segments. The first will focus on orienting participants to the Academy's structure, benefits, and pathways for involvement. The second will feature a targeted faculty development workshop designed to strengthen teaching effectiveness and enhance leadership skills in academic medicine. Through case-based discussion and peer-to-peer exchange, participants will explore evidence-based strategies to improve clinical teaching, provide effective feedback, and foster a positive learning environment while building leadership capacity in their educational and clinical roles. By the end of this event, attendees will be equipped with tools to elevate their teaching practice, broaden their leadership impact, and fully engage with the Academy of Educators community.
