Overview
The Multicultural Awareness Engagement Collaborative at USC School of Medicine Greenville is collaborating with the Medical Student Pride Alliance and Prisma Health Pride Alliance to host a Pride Month Panel Discussion on patient care and allyship. Panelists will include: Dr. Ann Blair Kennedy, USC SOMG Dr. Joseph Laterza, Prisma Health Susan Ward, PFLAG Greenville & Alliance for Full Acceptance

As a result of participating in this activity, learners will...
- Know more about patient care and allyship
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to self-evaluate and personally reflect on areas for personal improvement
- Be able to identify personal cognitive blind spots and biases that could affect patient care
- Be able to demonstrate cultural competency through interactions with patients of diverse backgrounds
- Strengthen the patient-physician relationship
- Strengthen the relationship between healthcare professionals and the LGBTQ+ community
