Series Objective: 

The Ethics Committee meets monthly to discuss the ethical and moral considerations of relevant topics related to Prisma Health patient care, policies, current trends in health care, and ethical decision making. The committee will learn about trending dilemmas of patient care, legal and risk management processes, and moral / values-based topics in order to better understand the diversity of religious, cultural, and ethnic needs of the patient population. The goal of this committee is to provide education and consultation for the medical staff to empower them to make reasoned ethical decisions related to patient care and to resolve impasses when between clinicians, patients, family, and other entities.
