Series Description:
This is a weekly conference with cases presented by faculty and fellows and discussed by infectious disease faculty physicians. The presenter provides the clinical case summary of a patient with an unusual diagnosis, unusual presentation of a common syndrome, or a diagnostic or treatment dilemma, and includes an evidence-based discussion at the appropriate level for an audience with expertise in infectious diseases. This conference is attended by infectious disease faculty and fellows, infectious disease nurse practitioners, infectious disease pharmacists, microbiology laboratory staff, as well as medical students and residents who are rotating on the infectious disease consultation service.
