Series Objectives:
At the conclusion of this series, participants will be able to:
  1. Apply a recognized six-step curriculum development framework to design or revise a residency rotation or curricular experience.
  2. Write measurable learning objectives aligned with teaching methods and assessment strategies, and map them to the ACGME competencies and Milestones.
  3. Diagnose the contributors to a low-performing rotation using evaluation and outcome data, and design a structured improvement plan with measurable targets.
  4. Interpret ACGME Resident and Faculty Survey results appropriately, including the limitations of small-n data, and integrate them into a year-round improvement cycle.
  5. Construct internal resident and faculty survey items using accepted practices for item writing, response options, and validity evidence.
  6. Apply specific strategies to recruit and sustain faculty engagement in program evaluation and improvement work.
  7. Translate Annual Program Evaluation findings into written action plans with owners, timelines, and measures.
