The monthly quality and documentation meeting has two parts. One portion of the meeting (documentation) is with a billing department representative discussing any new coding requirements, as well as improving billing accuracy and notation based on billing outcomes the prior month. The second half of the meeting (quality) discusses quality outcomes based on CMS, joint commission as well as internal requirements for quality improvement. This is done by reviewing our scorecard measures and teaching, discussing, and implementing ways to improve practice outcomes via said measures.
