Overview
The Cerebrovascular & Stroke Center serving Prisma Health-Upstate has created a CME course for physicians and advanced practice clinicians. This course will satisfy both the annual requirements for stroke center certification as well as provide education on the use of Tenecteplase for acute ischemic stroke. Attending physicians, residents, and advanced practice clinicians providing services in the Emergency Department and inpatient settings at Greenville Memorial, Greer memorial, Oconee Memorial, Hillcrest, Laurens County and Baptist Easley hospitals to acute stroke patients should complete this activity.
The transition from Tenecteplase from Alteplase as the thrombolytic for stroke treatment in the Greenville market is planned for September 2021. Course content should be completed by September 9, 2021.
