ForwardFurman Community Health Certificate
This asynchronous course of five one-hour modules is focused on different topic areas in community health. Each module will be lead by a mix of academic, clinical, and boots on the ground faculty from across the state who will share their expertise. The topic areas are: Social Drivers of Health, Rural Health Dynamics and Strategies, Health Policy and Financing, Community Driven Research Skills, Cultural Competence and Community Engagement, Inclusive Healthcare, Faith and Spirituality in Health, and Health Harming Legal Needs. The goal is to equip both rural clinicians and community-based practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to address the challenges they face in community health.
