Human Trafficking Awareness and Response for Healthcare Providers

Overview

This learning opportunity will highlight commonalities among human trafficking victims and how healthcare providers can offer assistance to those victims that present for medical care in any healthcare facility. Available resources for these patients will be discussed

Learning Objectives

At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to identify common red flags of human trafficking, understand legal obligations and be able to provide patients with community resources available to victims of trafficking, thus improving healthcare to this patient population, and community safety and health.
